You may have suffered from it, or you may be suffering from it right now, but don’t get confused: post-vacation blues is not just that feeling of tiredness and boredom that we experience when we are forced to return to work after a nice holiday, which usually only lasts a few hours. On the other hand, when it comes to post-vacation blues, we are talking about a deeper feeling, which can lead to both physical and psychological symptoms and can even become serious in certain situations.

What is post-vacation blues?

How to deal with post-vacation blues?
Intense post-vacation blues can be a serious condition that requires serious study and treatment, and therefore it would be a good idea to seek help from a health professional. However, when we are faced with a lighter post-vacation blues we can find some good practices that can help us manage this.
– Do not come back from holidays just the day before returning to work
It is a rule recommended by experts and probably implemented by many of you. – Resume work with a reduced and/or flexible working day

During the summer months, routines are usually used to reduce the number of working days or intensive working days, thus giving you more free time to enjoy the good weather. Such practices, along with those that facilitate greater flexibility in choosing work schedules, can reduce the heavy workday and improve the response to post-vacation blues.
